Submitted by Robin Mathias on Thu, 06/02/2005 - 10:50am. News and Commentary | Healthcare Policy and TechnologyI’m helping PS-TG put together presentations for the MMIS Conference in August.
You are invited to submit an abstract of a proposed topic to be considered for presentation at the upcoming MMIS conference. Don’t miss this unique opportunity! The MMIS Conference attendees include IT and health care professionals from Medicaid agencies as well as CMS and the government services sector of the health care vendor community. There are numerous benefits to being a speaker, including:
- Your name and State or company name included in conference promotional materials related to speaker session(s)
- Invaluable exposure and recognition as a speaker at the most well attended Medicaid information technology event of the year
- The opportunity to educate fellow colleagues and industry peers, while helping advance the use of information technology in Medicaid
- Prime networking opportunities
We are accepting papers on topics that are within the scope of the use of new technologies and methods in the administration of Medicaid. A presentation may include both methods and technology.
The ideal technology presentation would include a case study of the implementation of this technology, benefits of its use and lessons learned. A State would sponsor/ moderate the session. The state speaker would be complemented by one or more co-speakers from other states, or representing the technology vendor(s) involved in the implementation.
The ideal methodology presentation would include a discussion about the method or practice, including theory and practical application in the Medicaid environment, describing potential benefits of its use and any lessons learned. A State would sponsor or moderate the session. The state speaker would be complemented by one or more co-speakers from other states or vendor(s) involved in the implementation of the method or practice.
The theme of this year’s MMIS Conference is “Big Plans under the Big Sky”. The conference will take place August 14-18, 2005 in Big Sky, Montana.
