Mathias Consulting was founded by Robin Mathias, a Medicaid, fraud and abuse, and healthcare policy and analysis expert. As a state employee, Robin built Indiana Medicaid’s data analysis capabilities from the ground up. Starting with nothing but a 386 PC and a stack of microfiche, Robin was able to introduce healthcare data analysis into Indiana’s policy making process, helping Indiana make policy changes that would save over a billion dollars in a few years.

As the Indiana Medicaid Director of Data Analysis and Budget, Robin put sophisticated data analysis tools in place and trained a healthcare data analysis team to make data analysis a permanent part of Indiana’s policy and budgeting process.

In the private sector, Robin worked for the MEDSTAT Group designing reports for MEDSTAT’s new state of the art decision support system. Robin designed and created a library of predefined reports MEDSTAT used to meet the needs of healthcare data analysts at all skill levels for the Medicaid, purchaser and managed care markets.

Mathias Consulting continues to create powerful, yet easy to understand reports for healthcare clients and help them learn new ways to find and control fraud.
